Seminary Holds Successful Law Enforcement Chaplaincy Workshop

Concordia Seminary, together with Peace Officer Ministries, hosted “Christian Law Enforcement Chaplaincy—Theology and Practice,” on May 26-29, on the Seminary campus. There were 48 participants from all over the U.S., including California, Arizona, Michigan, and Virginia. The workshop offered unique accredited training for chaplains, peace officers, and pastors, focusing on effective Christian ministry to and through law enforcement.

“Exciting new ideas to ponder,” one participant commented. “This chaplaincy training has taken me down all new avenues. [I] look forward to see what God has in mind for me with all this new information to process. Thanks!”

Next year’s Law Enforcement Chaplaincy Workshop is scheduled for May 24-28, 2010. For more information, contact the Office of Continuing Education and Parish Services at 314-505-7486, [email protected]; or visit the Seminary’s Web site at www.csl.edu.
