Call Day Website Goes Interactive

Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, is introducing new interactive features of its Web site designed specifically for Call Day, April 27. On the site, viewers can watch streaming video of both the vicarage and call services, read and print the service folders to follow along, and view maps that will pinpoint where each student is called or assigned through the use of interactive mapping technologies. Each pinpoint will include the student’s photo and the church’s information. To access the site, click here.

“This is a great opportunity to use some of the new technology that has been deployed here at the Seminary,” stated John Klinger, Chief Information Officer. “Providing this service and resource is another way that we are trying to bridge the gap so that someone can watch and listen to their son, brother, father, or friend’s first assignment or call and then see where they will be going to proclaim the Gospel.”

Concordia Seminary, St. Louis’ vicarage and internship assignment service will take place at 3:00 p.m. CST on Tuesday, April 27. The call service will take place at 7:00 p.m. CST. For more information or for questions on the Call Day portion of the Web site, contact the Technology Services help desk at 314-505-7231 or e-mail [email protected].
