New ConcordiaTheology.org Web Site Goes Live

On April 9, 2010, Concordia Seminary, St. Louis went live with the redesigned Web site of www.ConcordiaTheology.org. The new site features a faculty blog, as well as feeds from other faculty-related blogs, multimedia content (video podcasts, iTunes U, etc.), homiletical helps, articles, a Concordia Journal archive, and more, combined with some of the features of the former site. A Facebook page (Concordia Theology) and Twitter account (CSLTheology) adds to the interactivity of the Web site.

“The new ConcordiaTheology.org is much more interactive and takes advantage of all the social media,” said Travis Scholl, managing editor of theological publications. “It allows Seminary faculty to engage in theological issues in real time, and it allows the whole world to take part in the conversation.”

As part of the launch, Concordia Seminary’s most recent faculty authors, Will Schumacher and Paul Robinson, will each select their favorite reader comment on the site and send the respective persons a free signed copy of their new book, Schumacher’s Who Do I Say That You Are? and Robinson’s Martin Luther: A Life Reformed. They will make their selections in time for the Seminary’s annual faculty book-signing on May 18.

Recent posts by Concordia Seminary faculty include: “What would Luther think about health care reform?,” “African Churches and Homosexuality,” and “The Rich Diversity of God’s Living Earth.” To access the new Concordia Theology Web site, go to http://concordiatheology.org.
