Kantorei from Concordia Theological Seminary to Sing at CSL

The Seminary Kantorei from Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, Ind., will be on the campus of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis to present an Easter Choral Service as part of its 2012 Eastertide Midwest tour on Friday, April 13, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. This choral service will be presented in the Chapel of St. Timothy and St. Titus and it is open to the public without cost. They will sing music by J.S. Bach, Hildebrand, Mozart, Proulx, Vaughn Williams, and Vulpius.

The Seminary Kantorei is a 16-voice choir of students studying for the Office of the Holy Ministry at Concordia Theological Seminary. The Kantorei, founded in 1978 and directed by the Rev. Kantor Richard C. Resch, has toured annually throughout the United States and parts of Canada during Epiphany and Eastertide. In addition to the tours that culminate with an on-campus Choral Vespers, the Kantorei has traditionally sung for the annual Confessions Symposia, Spring Vicarage Placement, and Call Services. They have released six recordings.
