Seminary Installs Three New Members of Advancement Division

During morning chapel on Thursday, Jan. 17, Concordia Seminary President Dale Meyer installed three new members of the Advancement Division: Michael Vincent as senior vice president for Seminary advancement; Edward Bertram as deployed gift officer; and Roger Dow as deployed senior gift officer.

Mr. Vincent most recently served as director of principal gifts for Concordia University-Nebraska. Early in his career, he served for six years at the LCMS Headquarters in St. Louis as director of promotion and distribution for Lutheran Television. While there, he marketed the television program, This is the Life, which won an Emmy, the first ever for a religious program. He served as a creative director at Maritz, and a sales executive at Carlson Companies. He also served as a sales executive and a vice president at Busch Creative Services, a subsidiary of Anheuser-Busch. Vincent received his undergraduate degree from Concordia Teachers College, Seward, Neb. He and his wife have three children and two grandchildren.

Rev. Bertram most recently served for the LCMS Fund Development after retiring from full-time service in 2008. He was the vice president for LCMS World Mission Support, during which time he directed the “Fan Into Flame” campaign for the Ablaze! Movement. Bertram was also called to service at the LCMS Foundation as the campaign director of For the Sake of the Church. Bertram received his undergraduate degree from Concordia College, Fort Wayne, Ind., and his M.Div. from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. He and his wife have five children and 13 grandchildren. They reside in North Carolina.

Mr. Dow was the president of The Lutheran Care Network Foundation in New Rochelle, N.Y., previous to his joining Concordia Seminary. He also served as the vice president of The Wartburg Foundation of Mt. Vernon, N.Y., a gift planning counselor for the LCMS Foundation, and a district representative for the Aid Association for Lutherans. Dow received his undergraduate degree from Plymouth State University, Plymouth, N.H. He and his wife have one son. They reside in Connecticut.
