Green & Gold Days welcomes prospective students

Daylong event offers glimpse of student life at Concordia Seminary

Concordia Seminary, St. Louis will welcome men and women college-age and older to Green & Gold Days Friday, Nov. 4. The visitation event gives prospective students the opportunity to spend the day on campus to see what the Seminary has to offer.

Participants will meet with current students and professors, attend classes and chapel, and end the day with dinner and discussion. The event is geared toward college students and second-career men and women who are considering the ministry.
“Green & Gold Days give each participant an opportunity to be immersed in campus life for a day,” said Rev. Bill Wrede, director of ministerial recruitment and admissions. “By attending classes with current students, worshiping in chapel, hearing about financial aid and housing, it’s possible to get lots of information as well gain a true feel for our life together.”

Green & Gold Days also are scheduled for Jan. 6 and April 7. Registration is free. Housing and all meals during the event are provided at no cost to participants.

Concordia Seminary hosts several annual admissions events that give participants valuable information about formation for pastoral and diaconal ministry. There is something for everyone including events for prospective students who are in high school, college or are considering ministry as a second career, as well as events for prospective Seminary families.
