Help Concordia Seminary prepare pastors on #GivingTuesday

Online gifts benefit student financial aid

Concordia Seminary, St. Louis encourages friends and supporters to help “Prepare A Pastor” through online gifts on Giving Tuesday, Nov. 29.

Gifts donated during the Seminary’s Giving Tuesday campaign will benefit student financial aid and scholarships.

“The joy of giving is magnified when the mission is so vital,” said Vicki Biggs, senior vice president for Seminary advancement. “Your Giving Tuesday gifts to Concordia Seminary will mean so much for current and future students as you help to eliminate financial barriers that might prevent them for acting on their calling. I want to thank in advance all those who join in this global initiative to make a difference.”

Now in its fifth year, Giving Tuesday is an international day of giving that focuses on philanthropy instead of the consumerism of the post-Thanksgiving season that includes Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday. In 2015, around 700,000 donors raised more than $116 million for thousands of organizations and charities worldwide, including $5,000 for the Seminary.

Seminary gifts on Giving Tuesday can be made online at www.csl.edu/givingtuesday or by calling 800-822-5287.

Donors are encouraged to use #PrepareAPastor and #GivingTuesday on social media to help spread the word about the campaign. Download an image and other Giving Tuesday resources here.
