Road Construction Near Seminary
The Highway 40 construction project is ahead of schedule for the closed portion of Highway 40 between Ballas Road to Interstate 170. The closed section should be open by the end of the year and possibly earlier. After the first phase of the highway project is finished, the second phase begins and a five-mile stretch of Highway 40 from 1-170 to Kingshighway will close through the end of 2009. Guests who are driving to the Seminary campus can take advantage of the mapping/directions feature provided by the Missouri Department of Transportation just prior to their departure from home to visit the campus.

Driving Directions |
From East of the Mississippi River:
- Go west across the Mississippi River on I-55, 70, 64 and U.S. Hwy. 40;
- Stay to the left on the bridge over the Mississippi River and take I-64 and U.S. Hwy. 40 West;
- Exit at Clayton Road (next exit after Hampton Ave.);
- At the top of the exit, continue straight (west) on Clayton Road;
- At the second traffic light, turn right (north) on Seminary Place;
- Continue north on Seminary Place for three blocks and enter the Seminary campus. The Welcome Center is 300 ft. past the campus entrance, on the right.
From the West and Northwest of the Mississippi River:
- Take I-70 East past Lambert International Airport;
- Just past the airport, take I-170 South;
- Take I-64 and U.S. Hwy. 40 East (toward St. Louis);
- Exit at Hanley Road North;
- Continue on Hanley Road, and turn right (east) on Clayton Road;
- Continue straight on Clayton Road for 1.31 miles;
- Turn left (north) on Seminary Place. The Welcome Center is 300 ft. past the campus entrance, on the right.
From the South (I-55):
- Take I-55 North to I-44 West (exits left, after the Anheuser-Busch brewery);
- Exit I-44 at Hampton Avenue and turn right (north) on Hampton Avenue;
- Take I-64 and U.S. Hwy. 40 West;
- Exit immediately at Clayton Road;
- At the top of the exit, continue straight (west) on Clayton Road.
- At the second traffic light, turn right (north) on Seminary Place;
- Continue north on Seminary Place for three blocks and enter the Seminary campus. The Welcome Center is 300 ft. past the campus entrance, on the right.
From the Southwest (I-44):
- Take I-44 East and exit at Hampton Avenue;
- At the end of the exit, turn left and travel north on Hampton Avenue;
- Take I-64 and U.S. Hwy. 40 West;
- Exit immediately at Clayton Road;
- At the top of the exit, continue straight (west) on Clayton Road.
- At the second traffic light, turn right (north) on Seminary Place;
- Continue north on Seminary Place for three blocks and enter the Seminary campus. The Welcome Center is 300 ft. past the campus entrance, on the right.
