 Student Employment
There are a variety of employment opportunities on campus for students.

To be eligible for student employment a student must:
  • have applied for financial aid
  • be currently enrolled in classes on at least a half-time basis
  • maintain satisfactory academic progress requirements

Students are limited to no more than two (2) positions at any time. While classes are in session students may work no more than 20 hours total each week, regardless of the number of positions they hold. During academic breaks (between quarters, Christmas break, spring break, and during summer if a student is not enrolled in classes), students may work up to 40 hours per week total.

If supervisors need a student to work more than 20 hours, they may submit an Increased Work Hours Request signed by the Dean of Ministerial Formation or the Dean of Graduate School to Human Resources.

Students are responsible for managing their work schedules so they do not exceed the maximum hours they are authorized to work. Students who consistently exceed 20 hours a week for all positions, without approval from the Dean of Ministerial Formation or the Dean of the Graduate School, may be terminated from one of their positions.

Apply for Student Employment
Students should contact the person listed in the job posting directly for more information about the student job.

Starting Work

Once students have found campus employment, they must bring their 09-10 School Year Contract
signed by the student and the supervisor to Human Resources.

Before students can start to work, they must come to Human Resources to complete the following forms:

Human Resources will notify the supervisor as soon as the student has completed all the necessary forms and the student’s electronic time sheet is activated. The student may not work until the supervisor receives this notification.

Electronic timesheets, issued on a biweekly basis, need to be submitted for approval by 11:59 p.m. on the last day of the pay period for each department worked. Please refer to the Payroll Schedule to see when timesheets are due in the Accounting Office.
