Dr. Bruce M. Hartung is associate professor of practical theology. Concordia Senior College, Fort Wayne, Indiana (B.A. 1963); Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, Missouri (M.Div. 1967; S.T.M. 1969); Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois (Ph.D. 1971); assistant pastor, Redeemer, Waukegan, Illinois (1967-69); staff pastoral counselor, Pastoral Counseling Center, Lutheran General Hospital, Park Ridge, Illinois (1971-73); director (1973-83); executive director, Onondaga Pastoral Counseling Center, Syracuse, New York (1983-91); director, LCMS Health Ministries, The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod, St. Louis, Missouri (1991-2002); executive director, Commission on Ministerial Growth and Support, The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (1995-2005); associate professor, Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, Missouri, since 2002; director of continuing education (2002-06); faculty director of deaconess studies (2005-09); dean of ministerial formation since 2006.
