Each district has an appointed alumni representative who serves as a point of contact for the dissemination of information between alumni and the Seminary. The Alumni District Representative serves the seminary in his district in multiple functions. In this volunteer activity, limits of his time and resources are respected. Freedom and flexibility are assumed.
- He is selected, based on recommendations from members of the Alumni Council, alumni, seminary staff, church leaders and on his known support for the Seminary.
- He is a leader, a communicator, and a supporter of the Seminary.
- He assists in the promotion of the Seminary and its mission for the Church.
- He brings information about the Seminary to individuals and groups, communicates information about conferences and gatherings to the Seminary Relations Office/Alumni Office, communicates with the Seminary on matters impacting the Seminary.
- He receives, sets up, and oversees seminary display at important district gatherings.
- He has seminary brochures available for distribution.
- He assists with recruitment events. He encourages pastors to participate in continuing education at the Seminary.
- He is encouraged to write at least one article annually featuring the Seminary for his district newspaper.
- He is connected to the seminary’s electronic news server (cslnews).
- He receives free registration to the annual seminary symposium.
