Concordia Seminary Offers Audio Sermon Helps on Internet

Concordia Seminary, St. Louis is offering free audio files from its Internet website (www.csl.edu [1]) for pastors and other interested Bible study students. The audio files contain a textual study of the Old Testament and Gospel lessons for the following Sunday. They are tape recordings of sessions held on the Seminary campus each Wednesday, over lunch, where professors from the Seminary’s department of exegetical theology conduct studies of the Old Testament and Gospel lessons, utilizing the Hebrew and Greek texts. The audio files are updated every Saturday morning to coincide with the Scripture readings assigned in the three-year lectionary series for the following Sunday.

“We are delighted to make these audio files available to assist pastors in their sermon preparation,” said Rev. Glen Thomas, Vice President for Seminary Relations. “Instructions for downloading the audio files are contained on our website and the audio files are compatible with any major computer operating system. Each file takes approximately 15 minutes to download from the website and may then be played by the listener at any time on their computer.”
