Concordia Seminary Dedicates Remodeled Re-Sell-It Shop

Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, is pleased to announce the grand re-opening of its Re-Sell-It Shop, a service that has provided low-cost clothing and household items to Seminary students and their families for nearly a quarter of a century.

The store was closed for nearly three months this summer while a construction crew performed extensive renovations to the lower level of Loeber Hall, where the Shop has been located throughout its history. The crew removed a wall, installed dressing rooms, repainted the entire area, installed new tile flooring and carpeting, updated the windows, installed air conditioning, and created a donation drop-off area and a sorting room.

On November 27, the Seminary community dedicated the Re-Sell-It Shop in a ceremony following morning chapel. A commemorative plaque was presented in honor of Marlyn Graudin, who managed the Shop for most of its history.

The Re-Sell-It Shop is currently accepting donations. According to donation policy guidelines, the Shop will accept the following clothing items in new or like-new condition: baby, maternity, child and adult clothing sizes; coats, hats and gloves, blankets and bed linens. The Shop will also accept the following non-clothing items in new or like-new condition: kitchen items (in working order only), toys and games, small appliances (including small TV’s, microwave ovens, vacuum cleaners, all in working order only), household items (ironing boards, exercise equipment), bicycles for all ages (in working order only), books (children’s Bibles, current novels and classics only), current computers (both IBM and Macintosh, in working order with all necessary software), tables and chairs, dressers, small bookcases and shelving units, living room furniture (accepted as storage room allows, must be delivered to the Seminary).
