Fiedler Accepts Call to Lcms Foundation

Leonard Fiedler, vice president for development at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, has accepted a call to serve as the senior vice president for ministry resource development for The Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod (LCMS) Foundation. Fiedler has served as the Seminary’s vice president for development since 1995.

“It has been a joy to work at Concordia Seminary. I believe that our Lord has brought together a group of committed men and women with whom I’ve been privileged to serve on the Cabinet and in the Development Division,” commented Fiedler. “Because of their faithfulness and dedication, Christian maturity and devotion, I have confidence in leaving them to carry on this ministry which God has so richly blessed.”

Fiedler received a bachelor of science degree in education from Concordia College (now University), Seward, Neb., in 1967 and a master’ s degree in education, specializing in administration and supervision, from Rollins College, Winter Park, Fla., in 1970. He served as a teacher and principal in Florida and Missouri before serving as joint college development counselor (1983-86) and special gifts counselor (1986-90) for the LCMS Stewardship Department and mission development counselor for the Stewardship Foundation (1990-95).
