González to Serve Center for Hispanic Studies

Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, is pleased to announce that Rev. Eloy S. González will serve as associate director of the Seminary’s Center for Hispanic Studies. Previously, González served as pastor of Christ Our Savior Church, San Antonio, Texas (2001-2006); adjunct instructor at Concordia University—Austin, San Antonio, Texas (2002-2006); and part-time staff at Concordia Seminary’s Hispanic Institute of Theology (2004-2006).

González also served as a certified lay worker at Christ Our Savior Church, San Antonio, Texas (1999-2001). He received the B.S. degree from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, Ill. (1984); the M.Ed. degree from the University of Texas—Pan American, Edinburg, Texas (1992); and alternate route certification for ordained ministry from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, through the Hispanic Institute of Theology (2001). He and his wife, Sofia, have two grown sons, Eloy and Rolando, and two grandchildren, Julian and Ethan.
