Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, alumni, spouses and widows are cordially invited to attend the annual alumni reunion, which will be held May 27-29, on the Seminary campus. The event is open to graduating classes from years ending in a “3” or “8.”
“While we have a lot of enjoyable activities planned for alumni, their spouses and widows of alumni, we know that one of the primary attractions of these reunions is the renewing of relationships that were formed on this campus many years ago,” commented Dr. Dale A. Meyer, president of Concordia Seminary. “Our alumni are also very interested in seeing the changes that have occurred on the campus since they graduated. We are excited to show them the many ways God is blessing their alma mater.”
Registration for the event will begin Tuesday, May 27 at 1:00 p.m. followed by campus tours, chorus rehearsal and opening devotions. Later that day, alumni and spouses have the option of attending the Cardinals/Astros baseball game at the new Busch Stadium, complete with two party suites and a buffet meal, or a cookout with faculty in the main quadrangle followed by a carillon concert.
On Wednesday, May 28, Dr. Dale A. Meyer, president of Concordia Seminary, will deliver an address regarding current events and future plans at the Seminary. Resources for Ministry will be presented followed by a Jubilarian Service, including a presentation by a choir composed of alumni, spouses and widows. A special lunch and program, hosted by Diane Meyer, will be held exclusively for the spouse and widows of alumni on Wednesday, May 28. In the evening, a reception at Concordia Historical Institute and an alumni banquet will take place.
On Thursday, May 29, a bus tour of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod International Center will be offered. Throughout the reunion participants will have the opportunity to rest, relax and visit with classmates and others.
Invitations to the 2008 alumni reunion will be sent in March, which will include a registration form and information concerning area accommodations. Registration forms will also be available for download from the Seminary’s Web site at www.csl.edu [1].
