On April 27, calls to serve as pastors in The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) were issued to 111 students at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. In addition, 88 students received assignments to serve as vicars, three of which are in the Alternate Route program.

Concordia Seminary has rescheduled its Lay Bible Institute for Saturday, August 7, from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. on the topic of Muslim outreach. This workshop will be led by Dr. John Loum, director of the Ethnic Immigrant Institute of Theology (EIIT), who has worked among Muslims in Europe, Africa, and the United States for more than 20 years.
