Something old, something new at Winter Lay Bible Institute

Participants at Concordia Seminary’s Winter Lay Bible Institute, Saturday, Jan. 17, will study something old and apply it to something new!

Featured speaker Dr. Joel Elowsky, associate professor of historical Theology and director of the Center for the Study of Early Christian Texts at Concordia Seminary, will present “Where Eagles Soar: Reading the Gospel of John with the Early Church Fathers.” The study will include a close reading of texts, provide insights from history, and apply them to a 21st century perspective of Scripture.

Registration is $20 and the deadline is Jan. 5. For more information and to register, go to https://www.csl.edu/resources/continuinged/lbi1215/ [1], or contact the Continuing Education Office at 314-505-7286 or at [email protected].
