The Gospel of Mark performances set for fall 2019

Concordia Seminary, St. Louis’ dramatic presentation of The Gospel of Mark [1] has two showings scheduled in September 2019:

Friday, Sept. 20, at 6:30 p.m. at the Liberty Center [2] in Sedalia, Mo.; and
Saturday, Sept. 21, at 6:30 p.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran School [3] in Pekin, Ill.

During The Gospel of Mark, the text comes alive as never before. The presentation is neither a simple recitation of the text nor a play based upon it. Instead, it is an interpretation of the way the text might have impacted those who first received it. Both Christians and non-Christians will learn the context and tone of Mark’s Gospel account as they come to see the “human” side of the Bible.

The cast consists of faculty members and Seminary alumni who give enthralling presentations of God’s life-giving Word:

The Gospel of Mark runs around two hours, 30 minutes, including intermission. Presentations are free and open to the public. Freewill offerings may be made to support future presentations. To learn more, visit csl.edu/thegospelofmark/ [9].
