Digital ministry is focus of new online CSL, CUWAA partner course

With an ever-increasing number of churches embracing hybrid services, video conferencing and other digital means, it’s important for pastors and ministry leaders to think through the benefits and limitations of online ministry. That topic will be explored in a new six-week online continuing education course, “Making Sense of Ministry in a Digital World [1],” offered in partnership by Concordia Seminary, St. Louis with Concordia University Wisconsin and Ann Arbor (CUWAA) [2].

Sessions begin Jan. 17 and will be taught by Jamie Crustals, curriculum design and development specialist at Concordia Seminary; Thomas Davila, adjunct professor for CUWAA and instructional designer with Sargento; and Rev. Trevor Sutton, senior pastor at St. Luke Lutheran Church, Haslett, Mich., and Ph.D. candidate at Concordia Seminary.

“We are excited to offer our fourth course in partnership with Concordia University Wisconsin,” said Erika Bennett, director of Continuing Education at Concordia Seminary. “This course was created based on feedback from our past students and is very timely in this post-pandemic environment.”

Six live sessions will be taught Tuesdays through Feb. 21 via Zoom:

The fee for the course is $99, which includes one Continuing Education Unit (CEU). Register [1] by Jan. 10, 2023. For more information, contact Concordia Seminary’s Continuing Education department at [email protected] [3] or 314-505-7286.
