DESCRIPTION:It Stands Written: The New Testament Appropriation of the Old Testament\nChrist and the apostles regularly ground their teaching upon the Word of the Lord given through Moses and the prophets. While the fulfillment of prophecy is regularly cited in the New Testament\, that is not the only dynamic. At times\, the language of Old Testament texts is significantly transformed in New Testament texts. Then\, there are allusions and echoes of Old Testament texts within the New Testament that stop short of direct quotation yet build on the prior text. He joined the faculty in 2021. He previously served as pastor of Village Lutheran Church\, Ladue\, Mo. (2009-21)\, and as pastor of Grace Lutheran Church\, Holts Summit\, Mo. (2002-09). Golden earned his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) and his Master of Divinity (M.Div.) from Concordia Seminary (2010\, 1999).
