A new six-week online continuing education course\, “Artificial Intelligence and Real Ministry\,” aims to provide a comprehensive overview\, highlighting key facets of AI and its potential implications in ministry. The course is offered in partnership by Concordia Seminary\, St. Louis (CSL) and Concordia University Wisconsin and Ann Arbor (CUWAA). \nSix sessions will be taught weekly from 4-5 p.m. (CT) Tuesday\, April 9\, through May 14\, 2024\, via Zoom. The course instructors include Dr. David Adams\, the W.G. Ray and Louis J. DESCRIPTION:Principles of Biblical Interpretation for Everyone\nThis workshop will center around the presenter’s book\, Principles of Biblical Interpretation for Everyone (Concordia Seminary Press\, 2023). The book takes readers into the text of the Bible and helps them to understand the important factors that go into interpreting it. Participants are required to purchase the book ahead of time and to read through Chapter 8 before the workshop.  They will then delve into the book’s content with the presenter as he answers questions and gives clarifications. Significant pre-workshop reading is a requirement. The book can be purchased online from the Concordia Seminary Campus Store. You will receive a coupon code to purchase the book at a discounted price of $20 in your registration confirmation email. \n\n\n\n\nDr. James Voelz \nGraduate Professor of Exegetical Theology and the Dr. Jack Dean Kingsbury Professor of New Testament Theology at Concordia Seminary\, St. Louis\nDr. James W. Voelz is graduate professor of Exegetical Theology and the Dr. Jack Dean Kingsbury Professor of New Testament Theology at Concordia Seminary\, St. Louis. A faculty member since 1989\, he  served as chair of the Department of Exegetical Theology (2013–15)\, dean of the faculty (2006–10) and dean of the Graduate School (1996–2002). His areas of focus are the Greek language\, hermeneutics (theory of interpretation) and the synoptic Gospels. He also has taught the Pauline epistles and Acts of the Apostles.
