LCMS Post-Seminary Applied Learning and Support (PALS) hosted a dinner on campus last night for concluding students and their spouses. PALS provides continuing education and support for new Seminary graduates during the first three years of their ministries. The dinner included presentations from The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod President Dr. Matthew Harrison, PALS Executive Director Dr. James Baneck and several current PALS participants.

Yesterday’s After Chapel Concert featured Erica Mertz performing on saxophone in the balcony of St. Timothy and St. Titus. Erica is the director of worship at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lisle, Ill., and associate conductor of the Seminary’s choir Laudamus. The program included an arrangement of “O Sacred Head, Now Wounded” for the congregation to sing and an arrangement of the tune “Slane” that Dr. James Marriott, the Seminary’s director of Music Arts, composed and performed at Erica’s wedding. Join us for the next After Chapel Concert, featuring Laudamus, at 9:55 a.m. March 10!
