Biblical mandates give this vocation to household leaders. The Small Catechism supports and equips families for this work. Vital today is the incorporation into church and day school ministry effective ways to serve families in raising up disciples of Jesus Christ. \n\n\n\n\nDr. W. Mart Thompson \nAssociate Professor of Practical Theology and the Director of the Specific Ministry Pastor Program at Concordia Seminary\, St. Louis\nBefore joining the Concordia Seminary faculty\, Dr. W. Mart Thompson served 28 years as a campus pastor\, sole pastor and senior pastor.
