Prof Insights: Faculty-Led Workshop Series – Professor Bahkou

Description
Due to concerns about the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, this workshop will be held online.
Muslims and the Gospel, from Challenges to Opportunities: Getting to Know Our Muslim Friends
Islam is the major world religion that has risen since the birth of Christianity. It is the only major world religion that claims to reform Christianity. And it is the only major world religion that uses many Christian Scriptures, symbols, thoughts and sentiments but interprets them differently from Christians.
This workshop will examine these challenges. Are ISIS, al-Qaida, Boko Haram and other terrorist Islamic groups following Islam? Why should we in the West be interested in Islam? What challenges does Islam present to disciples of Christ? What do Muslims believe? How do they see life? What moves them? Where do we start when it comes to sharing the Good News of the Gospel?
This workshop will encourage and equip participants to befriend Muslims as people whom God loves and wants to include in His family.
Registration deadline: June 1, 2020
