Originally from Shanghai\, China\, he learned about the carillon as an instrument when he arrived at the University of Chicago in 2023 and has since been studying with university carillonneur Alex Johnson. On the Laura Spelman Rockefeller Memorial Carillon\, he aims to present to the community music that comes from different cultures and communities. Additionally\, he has visited carillons in North America and Europe\, including the Yale Memorial Carillon\, which he played during his research internship in summer 2025. Academically\, he majors in physics and chemistry\, hoping to further serve the community by attending medical school. His research focuses on the intersections between biophysical experiments and molecular dynamics simulations. Between school and carillon\, he particularly enjoys connecting with the histories and people of different neighborhoods in Chicago through poetry\, jogging\, visiting museums and community service. \n\n\n	\n\n\n\n
