Join us for the first-ever Prevallet Hymn Writing

Join us for the first-ever Prevallet Hymn Writing Workshop Feb. 5! Open to anyone interested in the craft of writing hymn texts, this Saturday morning workshop is an opportunity to come to our campus and learn from Rev. Stephen Starke, an expert in the hymn-writing field with nearly 30 of his texts in Lutheran Service Book. Registration is $15 for the general public and free for Concordia Seminary students and spouses. Then, stick around for our Epiphany Hymn Festival at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 6 — featuring Starke, the St. Louis Lutheran Chorale and the Seminary String Ensemble. Don’t miss this hymn-filled weekend!

Seventeen students in the Specific Ministry Pastor

Seventeen students in the Specific Ministry Pastor (SMP) Program at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis were recognized for their first calls to ministry Friday, Jan. 14, in the Chapel of St. Timothy and Titus.

The SMP Program is a four-year state of the art distance education program that prepares men for specific pastoral ministries in The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS).
