Alumni Council on campus

Concordia Seminary’s Alumni Council members met on campus April 11-12.

Throughout their two-day retreat, the group reviewed plans for September’s Alumni Reunion, the role and responsibilities of faculty advisers, goals of the new Generations 20/20 Campaign, and the latest figures on enrollment and recruiting.

Council members also received a special presentation from The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) on the results of the 2017 LCMS Study of Young Adults, “Straight from the Source: Why LCMS young adults are staying in the church … or not.”

Wednesday afternoon they stepped away from their business to tour the library and receive an update on the ongoing renovations from Director of Library Services Rev. Ben Haupt.The renovated library’s grand re-opening has been set for Aug. 24.

The next Alumni Council meeting will be held Oct. 18-19 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Texas.
