SMP, GPC students celebrate calls, program completions

Concordia Seminary, St. Louis celebrated 29 Specific Ministry Pastor (SMP) Program students and two General Pastor Certification (GPC) Program students Friday in the Chapel of St. Timothy and St. Titus for receiving new calls and for completing the program. Some of the men attended the service on campus, while others participated virtually from their various ministry locations across the country.

“We rejoice with these SMP and GPC students, those celebrating new calls and those completing the program,” said SMP Program Director Dr. W. Mart Thompson [1]. “For their service in specific ministries across the country, we give thanks to our Lord. We share in this joy with their families and those they serve in the holy ministry!”
