Rev. Jerrold A. Eickmann

Professor Emeritus of Systematic Theology

Rev. Jerrold A. Eickmann is a professor emeritus of Systematic Theology at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis.

Eickmann retired in 2001 after 26 years of distinguished service as professor of Systematic Theology. He was named registrar and academic adviser in 1989 and served in those capacities until his retirement. He also served as director of vicarage (1978-89) and colloquy adviser (1987-89).

Prior to coming to the Seminary in 1974, he served as pastor at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Shreveport, La. (1964-67); St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Highland, Calif. (1967-73); and at Messiah Lutheran Church in Highland, Calif. (1974). He received his Master of Divinity (M.Div.) from Concordia Seminary in 1964.

He is the author of the book Our Lutheran Heritage: Selected Doctrines from the Lutheran Confessions as part of the “That We May Grow” series (Concordia Publishing House).
