Kopitske, Harley

Professor Emeritus of Practical Theology

Rev. Harley Kopitske is a professor emeritus of Practical Theology at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis.

He retired in 1995 after 11 years of distinguished service as professor of Practical Theology. He also served as the director of the World Mission Institute (1985-93).

Before joining the Seminary in 1984, he served as an evangelistic missionary in Papua New Guinea (1960-65, 1967-74); associate pastor at St. Paul Lutheran Church in West Allis, Wis. (1974-80); and pastor at St. Bartholomew Lutheran Church in Brillion, Wis. (1980-84).

He received his Master of Divinity (M.Div.) from Concordia Theological Seminary in Springfield, Ill. (1974).
