Cook Accepts Call to Concordia Seminary

Rev. Anthony A. Cook has accepted the call extended him by Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, to serve as assistant professor of practical theology. Cook also is the Seminary’s director of educational technology, since 2005.

Previously, Cook served as senior/administrative pastor of King of Kings Lutheran Church, Mason, Ohio (1999-2005); district missionary and pastor for the Iowa West District, Nevada, Iowa (1998 to 1999); and sole pastor of St. John Lutheran Church, Granite City, Ill. (1994-1998). He received the B.A. degree from Concordia University, River Forest, Ill. (1990), and the M.Div. degree from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis (1994). He and his wife, Elizabeth, have one child, Benjamin.

“It is an incredible honor to be given the opportunity to serve as a faculty member at Concordia Seminary. Working side-by-side with the same men who helped form me for ministry is both exciting and humbling,” commented Cook. “I pray that my service at the Seminary will help spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ by preparing a new generation of pastors for service in His Church.”
