Concordia Seminary, St. Louis announces Saturday Greek instruction for those contemplating seminary enrollment, laity (men and women) who wish to gain a valuable tool for Bible study and pastors who wish to sharpen their Greek skills. Classes will begin Sept. 11, 1999 on the Seminary campus. They will run from 10:00 a.m.-1:45 p.m., with a 45-minute lunch break. Generous financial assistance exists in order to encourage participation.

“People within a reasonable drive of St. Louis will now have Greek instruction available to them at a very convenient time on our campus,” commented Rev. Glen Thomas, Vice President for Seminary Relations at Concordia. “For many who are contemplating seminary enrollment, Greek is seen as a significant obstacle. These classes will allow many people the opportunity to master New Testament Greek without leaving their current employment. We also hope that many who are not contemplating seminary enrollment, but wish to learn Greek for the benefit it will offer them in Bible study will also participate. We also encourage pastors to enroll in order to review the Greek they learned many years ago.”

In order to be eligible, students must have completed 48 semester hours of college/university course work in the past from accredited colleges or universities.

Classes will follow the schedule for the Seminary’s academic year, with breaks at holidays and between academic quarters. All students must pre-register prior to August 27, 1999.
