Public Prayer Service to be held Sunday at Concordia Seminary Chapel

A special service to ponder and pray about our nation’s recent terrorist attacks will be held Sunday, Sept. 16, at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of St. Timothy and St. Titus on the campus of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis.

Dr. James W. Kalthoff, president of the Missouri District of The Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod (LCMS), will be the preacher at the service. Pastors of local LCMS congregations will lead in the prayers and liturgy. The service will be broadcast live on radio station KFUO AM 850, as well as being webcast simultaneously on their web site (www.kfuo.org).

Partners in Urban Ministry, KFUO Radio, and Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, are teaming up to offer this time of shared prayer and reflection. Partners
in Urban Ministry is a coalition of urban St. Louis congregations affiliated with the Missouri District of The Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod.
A special collection earmarked for relief efforts will be taken, and the public is invited to attend.
