Rev. Dale Skeesick Joins Concordia Seminary Staff

Rev. Dale Skeesick has accepted the call extended him by Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, to serve in the Seminary=s division of development as director of congregational support. In his new position, Rev. Skeesick will be involved in directing the Seminary’s effort to increase financial support specifically from Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod congregations. Rev. Skeesick is the first occupant of this newly-approved position.

“I’m grateful that the Lord has led Dale to accept this Call,” commented Leonard V. Fiedler, vice president for development at Concordia Seminary. “With the increasing number of men preparing for the pastoral ministry, Concordia Seminary is committed to tuition assistance for these future pastors. As director of congregational support, Dale will lead the effort to encourage congregations to provide financial support for the formation of these pastors who will faithfully provide Word and Sacrament ministry for years to come.”

Prior to coming to the Seminary, Pastor Skeesick served as gift planning counselor for Lutheran Hour Ministries since 1998. He served as pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church in Worden, Ill. (1992-1998), and principal at Lutheran schools in Jacob and Collinsville, Ill. He received the B.A. degree from Concordia College, St. Paul, Minn. (1975), and the M.Div. degree from Concordia Seminary (1992). Rev. Skeesick began his new responsibilities on Nov. 17. He and his wife, Kathryn, have two grown sons.
