Concordia Seminary Hosts Photography Exhibition ‘Confessions’

Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, will host “Confessions,” a photography exhibition by Gina Edwards, in the Seminary’s Library Art Gallery March 6 – May 19. An opening reception will be held in the gallery on Friday, March 17, 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Wine and refreshments will be served, and the public is invited to attend free of charge.

“Confessions,” an exhibition of black and white photography, explores the fundamental beliefs, or confessions, of Lutheran doctrine. The exhibit features three cohesive but distinct bodies of work, titled “Justified,” “By Grace,” and “Through Faith.” Two of these bodies of work have been featured on the campus of Black Hills State University, Spearfish, S.D.

Edwards studied photography, art and speech communication at Black Hills State University, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in 2005. Additionally, she was employed as the school’s student photographer, and her work has been published in various campus and local publications in the Black Hills area in South Dakota. Currently, she works in the communications department at Concordia Seminary.
