Concordia Seminary Chorus Announces Advent Tour

The Concordia Seminary Chorus, St. Louis, announces its 2007 Advent Tour. All of the presentations will include an expanded choral version of Evening Prayer that encourages the participation of the congregation in hymns and psalms. The Seminary Chorus will present choral music for the season of Advent on the following dates:

  • Sunday, December 2, at 3:00 p.m.—Concordia Seminary, Chapel of St. Timothy and St. Titus
  • Wednesday, December 5, at 6:30 p.m.—Glendale Lutheran Church, Glendale, Missouri
  • Friday, December 7, at 7:00 p.m.—Immanuel Lutheran Church, Macomb, Illinois
  • Saturday, December 8, at 1:30 p.m.—Lutheran Home and Services, Arlington Heights, Illinois
  • Saturday, December 8, at 6:00 p.m.—Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Crystal Lake, Illinois
  • Sunday, December 9, at 8:00 a.m./10:30 a.m.—St. Paul Lutheran Church, Brookfield, Illinois
  • Sunday, December 9, at 5:00 p.m.—Trinity Lutheran Church, Auburn, Illinois

The touring choir of the Concordia Seminary Chorus consists of students who are preparing to become pastors in The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod. They represent a portion of the full Concordia Seminary Chorus. Rev. Henry V. Gerike is the director of the choir.
