Concordia Seminary’s 2016 Alumni Reunion set for June 7-9

Concordia Seminary, St. Louis will hold its 2016 Alumni Reunion June 7-9 on the Seminary’s campus. Graduates, spouses and widows of class years ending in “6” or “1” are invited to attend the annual event.

Reunion highlights include the Jubilarian Service (50 years) and an opportunity to receive a special offering dedicated to the John E. Meyer Memorial Alumni Book Endowment Fund. The fund provides books for first-year seminarians. Another highlight is a presentation by Rev. Timothy R. Carter (‘13, author of The Executioner’s Redemption (Concordia Publishing House), about his journey from executioner to pastor.

Attendees also may participate in a tour of St. Louis-area Lutheran sites including Historic Trinity Lutheran Church, The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod International Center and the Walther Mausoleum.

“The Concordia Seminary community is excited to host the upcoming alumni reunion,” said Rev. Wayne Knolhoff, the Seminary’s director of alumni relations. “It will give attendees the chance to reconnect with classmates, faculty and staff, and to celebrate the dynamic global ministry of the Seminary.”

Some fellowship opportunities include the alumni and faculty cookout, a carillon concert, class meetings, class photos and a banquet. Alumni are encouraged to connect with classmates beforehand and inspire them to join in the celebration.
