‘Bringing Christ to the Neighbor’ video series, study guide now available

Series helps believers express their faith

“Bringing Christ to the Neighbor,” a new video series and study guide to help people better share their faith is now available from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis.

The 10-part video series for use by congregations or small-group discussions was created by Professor Emeritus Dr. Robert Kolb. It guides viewers through a discussion of how to share their faith with those around them.

Kolb developed the series through his work with Dr. Stephen Stohlmann, a colleague at the Oswald Hoffmann Institute for Christian Outreach at Concordia University, St. Paul, Minn.

“The One who sends us to baptize and teach in order to give His gift of new life through His death and resurrection has assured us that He holds all power in heaven and on earth and that He is with us to the end of the ages (Matt. 28:18-20),” Kolb writes in the introduction. “Since Jesus is going with us, we can venture into any corner of His world, and speak to anyone to whom He has brought us near, with His Gospel, which is God’s power for saving sinners as we speak it (Rom. 1:17). He invites us and accompanies us on the adventure of introducing Him to those whom He makes our ‘neighbors.’”

The series can be used for one-hour Bible studies or discussion sessions spanning 10 or 11 weeks. The downloadable study guide offers thoughts and suggestions on each session, and includes a personal witness inventory and case studies.
