Support the Sem this Giving Tuesday

Annual day of giving set for Dec. 3

Concordia Seminary, St. Louis friends and supporters are invited to help prepare pastors, deaconesses, missionaries and other church leaders by making a gift on Giving Tuesday, Dec. 3. Gifts made during the Seminary’s #GivingTuesday campaign will be used to meet the needs of the Seminary and its students where needed most.

“We are pleased to be part of the global #GivingTuesday movement and to offer this opportunity for our friends and supporters to engage again with Concordia Seminary’s mission,” said Vicki Biggs, senior vice president for Seminary Advancement. “In talking about what happens on this special day, someone else said this: ‘Giving Tuesday aims to fill the heart rather than the stocking.’ From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your support.”

This year, the Seminary’s goal is to raise $60,000. Thanks to a generous donor, gifts will be matched dollar for dollar up to the first $25,000.

In 2018, the Seminary raised $57,414 on Giving Tuesday, surpassing the $50,000 goal and setting a new Giving Tuesday campaign record.

Donors are encouraged to share their experience using the hashtags #PrepareAPastor, #PrepareADeaconess and #GivingTuesday on social media to spread the word about the campaign.
