Fourth annual Give Green and Gold Day campaign set for Sept. 26

Matching gift doubles impact up to first $20k raised

Preparing pastors, deaconesses and other church leaders who are faithful to the Scriptures and the Lutheran Confessions is central to the mission of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. It is this very mission that is the focus of the Seminary’s fourth annual Give Green and Gold Day set for Sept. 26.

All funds raised through this special campaign will be used where needed most as the Seminary carries out its mission of forming future pastors and deaconesses. Thanks to a matching gift, donors will be able to double the impact of their Give Green and Gold Day gifts dollar for dollar up to the first $20,000 raised.

“There is so much love and care for our seminarians, and one way we see that is through the generous support our donors provide,” said Vicki Biggs, senior vice president of Seminary Advancement and chief communications officer. “We are excited to invite our donors to participate in this year’s Give Green and Gold Day campaign, to respond to this special opportunity to double the impact of their gifts, and to partner with us as we carry on in Concordia Seminary’s eternal life-saving mission!”

Seminary friends also are invited to encourage others in their support for Give Green and Gold Day by spreading the word on social media using the hashtag #GiveGreenandGold, by sharing the giving link grouprev.com/givegreenandgold2022 or by calling 800-822-5287.
