Concert Series continues with “Wake, Awake, for Night Is Flying”

The Concordia Seminary Concert Series continues with “Wake Awake, for Night Is Flying: A Service of Evening Prayer for Advent,” slated for 7 p.m. CT Tuesday, Nov. 29. The service will be held in the Chapel of St. Timothy and St. Titus on the campus of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis.

The service is free and open to the public. All are invited to join in-person or via live stream at csl.edu/live.

The Nov. 29 service will feature Laudamus, the premier choir at Concordia Seminary, and the St. Louis Lutheran Chorale. The event will include a beautiful selection of hymns, psalms, readings, choral selections and prayers.

“The season of Advent is such a beautiful time of year as we look forward to the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ,” said Dean of Chapel Dr. Jon Vieker, officiant for the service. “Our choirs and musicians have prepared a wonderful service of devotional music and Scripture to prepare our hearts for Christmas.”
