Giving Tuesday campaign raises record $168,583
Unrestricted gifts to benefit Seminary where needed most
Donors teamed up for Giving Tuesday Dec. 2 to raise $168,583, setting a record for Concordia Seminary’s flagship day of giving campaign and surpassing the overall goal of $124,000.
This year’s Giving Tuesday campaign included a dollar-for-dollar matching opportunity for unrestricted gifts up to the first $62,000 raised. Gifts donated during this special campaign will be used where needed most in support of the Seminary’s mission to prepare the church’s future leaders.
“Over and over again our donors astound us with their awesome generosity,” said Vicki Biggs, senior vice president of Seminary Advancement and chief communications officer. “We thank God for each and every person who made a gift to this campaign, because their gifts make Concordia Seminary’s mission — a mission that is centered day in and day out on preparing our church’s future pastors and deaconesses — possible. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts.”
During the Seminary’s Giving Tuesday campaign, faculty, staff and other friends and supporters were encouraged to share the opportunity to participate in this special campaign by sharing the Seminary’s Giving Tuesday page and by using the hashtags #PrepareAPastor, #PrepareADeaconess and #GivingTuesday on social media. Supporters also were encouraged to create their own matching gift or challenge, and to share it among their friends, families, congregations and alumni classes.
For those who still wish to make a gift to the Seminary, call 800-822-5287, write to [email protected] or visit csl.edu/give.
The next Giving Tuesday is set for Dec. 1, 2026. Learn more about the Seminary’s three annual giving days at csl.edu/support or csl.edu/giving-days.
