Rev. Dr. Paul Schrieber

Professor Emeritus of Exegetical Theology

Dr. Paul Schrieber is a professor emeritus of Exegetical Theology at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis.

He retired in 2003 after 22 years of distinguished service as an associate professor of Exegetical Theology. Before joining the Seminary in 1981, he served as a visiting instructor (1976). In addition to his professorial duties, he was active in preaching and teaching in many settings, including minority ministries. He also served on the former The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod Board for Communication Services.

He received his Doctor of Theology (Th.D.) from Concordia Seminary (1983); his Master of Divinity (M.Div.) from Concordia Theological Seminary, Springfield, Ill. (1975); and his Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) from Concordia Senior College, Fort Wayne, Ind. (1971).

He served as pastoral assistant at Epiphany Lutheran Church, St. Louis (1975-76); and instructor and assistant professor at Concordia University Chicago, River Forest, Ill. (1976-78) and (1978-81).

A musician, he has played timpani for special services at the Seminary and served as a church organist and accompanist for numerous choirs.
