2007 Alumni Reunion Scheduled for May 29-31

Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, alumni, spouses and widows are cordially invited to attend the annual alumni reunion, which will be held May 29-31, 2007, on the Seminary campus. The event is open to graduating classes from years ending in a “2” or “7.”

“While we have a lot of enjoyable activities planned for alumni, their spouses and widows of alumni, we know that one of the primary attractions of these reunions is the renewing of relationships that were formed on this campus many years ago,” commented Dr. Dale A. Meyer, president of Concordia Seminary. “Our alumni are also very interested in seeing the changes that have occurred on the campus since they graduated. We are excited to show them the many ways God is blessing their alma mater.”

Registration for the event will begin on Tuesday afternoon, May 29. Later that day, participants and faculty members will enjoy food and fellowship at a cookout in the main quadrangle. The evening will close with a carillon concert and a Service of Evening Prayer in the Seminary’s Chapel of St. Timothy and St. Titus.

Alumni roundtable discussions and a Jubilarian Service, including a presentation by a choir composed of alumni, spouses and widows, will take place on Wednesday, May 30. An open house and reception at Concordia Historical Institute, and a banquet in Wartburg Dining Hall will be held on Wednesday evening. Alumni can utilize the remainder of the evening as an opportunity to gather and share memories of their days at the Seminary and what has occurred in their lives since graduation.

A special brunch, hosted by Diane Meyer, will be held exclusively for the spouses and widows of alumni on Wednesday, May 30.

On Thursday, May 31, a bus tour of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod International Center and Lutheran Hour Ministries will be offered. Throughout the reunion participants will have the opportunity to rest, relax and visit with classmates and others.
Invitations to the 2007 alumni reunion will be sent in February, which will include a registration form and information concerning area accommodations. Registration forms will also be available for download from the Seminary’s Web site at www.csl.edu.
