Join the Seminary’s mission this Giving Tuesday, Nov. 29
Help send pastors, deaconesses, missionaries into the world
Friends and supporters are invited to help Concordia Seminary, St. Louis prepare pastors, deaconesses, missionaries and other church leaders to bring Christ to the world by making a gift on Giving Tuesday, Nov. 29. Gifts donated during the Seminary’s annual #GivingTuesday campaign will be used where needed most in support of the Seminary’s mission.
Donors to the Seminary’s Giving Tuesday campaign have the special opportunity to double the impact of their gift. Thanks to a matching gift of $50,000 from three Seminary supporters, donations will be matched dollar for dollar up to the first $50,000 raised toward an overall $100,000 campaign goal.
The Seminary is pleased to join in Giving Tuesday, a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide.
“Being part of the Giving Tuesday movement is an opportunity for joy,” said Vicki Biggs, senior vice president for Seminary Advancement. “We have a wonderful privilege as children of God to steward and give joyfully of what God has first given us. This special day of giving provides an opportunity for our donors to share in that joy and be directly involved in carrying out Christ’s mission on earth – every gift received on Giving Tuesday will be used in the Seminary’s mission to prepare the future shepherds who will tell the world about Jesus. What joy such an opportunity brings!”
Donors are encouraged to share their Giving Tuesday experience using #PrepareAPastor, #PrepareADeaconess and #GivingTuesday on social media to spread the word about the campaign. Giving Tuesday participants also can offer a matching gift and challenges among their friends, families, churches and alumni classes.
Visit the Seminary’s Giving Tuesday page to make an online gift and to offer a matching gift or challenge.
