Commencement 2025 exercises rescheduled for May 17
Ceremony postponed due to severe weather
Owing to this afternoon’s severe weather resulting in widespread tree damage and debris across campus, Concordia Seminary’s Commencement exercises originally slated for 7 p.m. CDT this evening have been rescheduled for tomorrow evening, Saturday, May 17, at 7 p.m. CDT. For those who cannot attend in person, the ceremony will be livestreamed at csl.edu/live.
Members of the Seminary community are grateful to have celebrated the graduates who received their theological diplomas during this morning’s Theological Diploma Service in the Seminary’s Chapel of St. Timothy and St. Titus. This service was held before the severe weather occurred.
“First and foremost, I thank the Lord that no one was hurt during today’s storm. I apologize for the inconvenience that rescheduling the ceremony may be for some, and we look forward to celebrating with our students and their families tomorrow,” said Seminary President Dr. Thomas J. Egger.
