‘Light from Above’ video series with Seminary President Egger launches

Videos offer window into Seminary life, mission

Concordia Seminary, St. Louis has launched “Light from Above,” a new video series hosted by Seminary President Dr. Thomas J. Egger. Named in reference to the Seminary’s motto, “Light from Above” offers viewers a regular look into campus life as the Seminary carries out its mission to prepare the church’s pastors, missionaries and deaconesses.

The short-format videos aim to inform the Seminary’s community – comprised of current faculty, staff and students; alumni, supporters and other friends; prospective and future students; church and other ministry partners; lay church members and all others so interested – and engage them around the vital mission of the Seminary, where the Word of God is studied in the name of Jesus Christ, the Light of the world, and the church’s future shepherds are prepared. Topics will include updates on Seminary life, the church’s work in the world, and reflections on God’s Word.

“These short videos will aim to be an open window — a chance to see what’s happening at the Seminary, a chance to look together out at our world and the role that Concordia Seminary is playing in our church’s life and in our Lord’s mission,” Egger said. “Also a chance to bask together for a moment in the light from above, the light of Jesus and His faithful word.”

New episodes will be produced regularly. Viewers are invited to submit questions and suggest topics for future episodes by emailing [email protected].

“Light from Above” is available on the Concordia Seminary YouTube channel at youtube.com/@ConcordiaSeminary.
