Our annual Alumni Reunions provide an opportunity for alumni, spouses and widows time to reconnect, reminisce and celebrate. It also offers time for alumni to reacquaint themselves with the beautiful Concordia Seminary campus and the global ministry taking place here.
2018 Alumni Reunion
Sept. 20-21, 2018
A special welcome is extended to members of the jubilarian class of 1968 and graduates, spouses and widows of class years ending in “8” or “3.”
- Special recognition of jubilarian class and all alumni in chapel
- A presentation by Rev. Micah Glenn (’16), executive director of the Lutheran Hope Center in Ferguson, Mo.
- Banquet featuring a Gospel of Mark presentation by Dr. David Schmitt, the Gregg H. Benidt Memorial Professor of Homiletics and Literature
- Class gatherings
- The 29th Annual Theological Symposium (Sept. 18-19) kicks off two days before the Alumni Reunion. Plan to come to St. Louis early and take in both events.
Thursday, Sept. 20
|10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m.||Presentation by Dr. Dale A. Meyer and Mrs. Diane Meyer
Hear from the dynamic duo at the helm of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. Dr. Meyer will share an insider’s view of the strategic issues and plans for the Seminary. The first lady will address how the campus engages with the broader community, resulting in enhanced relationships and goodwill among our neighbors. Questions from the audience will be welcome!

Mingle with Seminary students during this social time featuring complimentary libations and stimulating conversations. The students will welcome wisdom and insight from their alumni brothers and sisters in the field.

|10:30-11:30 a.m.||Presentation by Rev. Micah Glenn, executive director, Lutheran Hope Center, Ferguson, Mo.
The Lutheran Hope Center was founded in October 2015 following the unrest in the Ferguson community after the fatal shooting of Michael Brown. The goal of the center is to share the hope of Jesus Christ by providing opportunities for youth
and families. Come and hear how Glenn is sharing the hope of Christ with a broken and hurting community in words and acts of mercy.

Hear the text of Mark come alive as never before in an interpretation of the way in which that Gospel might have impacted those who first received it. Schmitt is a member of the Seminary’s troupe that travels the country each year to present The Gospel of Mark to congregations, college students and others who become enthralled with Mark’s words.
Class gatherings and free time
We encourage you to connect with your classmates beforehand and suggest to them that they join you to celebrate the many years of blessings God has given to you and His church. We will be happy to assist you with arrangements for individual class gatherings. Free time activities may include: hymn sing, organ play, choir performance, library tour, devotions, classroom visits.
$125 per person for two days or $70 per person for one day.
